Qualifications

• A high school diploma and relevant experience.
• Must have a valid South Carolina driver's license and be at least 21 years of age with one year driving experience.
• Must complete a nationwide criminal background check to include finger printing.
• Before being certified to administer CDL knowledge skill tests must complete a formal CDL test examiner trainer course and examination that includes Introduction to CDL Licensing System, Overview of the CDL Tests and Knowledge Tests.

Responsibilities

• Administers road test examinations for Class A, B, C, D, E, F, M and CDL Office.
• Determines applicants' physical and mental fitness and administers written, oral and automated exams.
• Processes registrations, licenses, permits and titles and handles related documentation.
• Answers customer inquiries regarding driver, vehicle, registration, and insurance requirements.
