Job summary

City of Caldwell is seeking a Road Technician I or II to perform manual labor and operate equipment for street, curb, sidewalk and drainage maintenance. Progression to Road Tech II is possible within 8–12 months based on performance and qualifications.

Requirements include 18+ age, valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain Idaho Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement within 6 months. On-call work and pre-employment checks are part of the duties.

Qualifications

• One year of work experience operating light and medium equipment or tools.
• Ability to obtain Idaho Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement within 6 months of hire.
• Pre-employment background check, drug testing and physical required.

Responsibilities

• Remove worn or weathered asphalt and load debris for disposal.
• Grade and repair underlay to prepare surfaces for patching.
• Operate equipment to construct, repair and maintain streets and drainage.
