Job summary

State of Alaska through the Department of Transportation & Public Facilities (DOTPF) seeks an Equipment Operator, Journey 2 for the Palmer area to support year-round highway maintenance. Key qualifications include a valid CDL with tanker endorsement and the possibility of Hazmat endorsements.

Qualifications

• CDL with Tanker Endorsement is required
• Hazmat endorsement may be required
• Painting Certificate (HAZMAT) endorsement may be required
• Three professional references and CDL copy may be requested at interview

Responsibilities

• Operate and service heavy and light-duty equipment for year-round highway maintenance
• Maintain vegetation, signs, barricades, fences, bridges, culverts and drainage structures
• Perform snow and ice removal with plow/sanders and graders, and assist at Palmer maintenance station
