Job summary

NETC Fleet Services is seeking a skilled Road Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and service commercial diesel vehicles and equipment. This on-site role involves responding to service calls for trucks, trailers, motor coaches, and select heavy equipment, with a focus on fast, high-quality service.

The position offers a full-time schedule with a competitive hourly wage of $35–$40 and a performance-based commission potential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Diesel engine repair training and/or certification preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of commercial vehicles, electrical systems, and gas and diesel engine systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform emergency roadside diagnostics, repairs, and service on diesel vehicles and equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems quickly and accurately.
• Perform brake, electrical, and tire repairs, including tire removal and installation.
• Complete engine and powertrain repairs, ranging from minor repairs to more advanced work.
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues.
• Diagnose and repair A/C and emissions systems.
• Obtain necessary parts when required and coordinate with Parts personnel.
• Test-drive trucks and equipment when necessary to verify repairs.
• Follow all company and industry safety procedures and protocols.
• Maintain clear communication with Dispatchers, Parts Counter Specialists, customers, and Management.
• Process customer credit card payments when required.
• Handle customer concerns calmly, professionally, and efficiently.
• Submit receipts, invoices, service documentation, and other paperwork promptly.
• Keep your assigned company service truck clean, organized, stocked, and ready for the next call.
• Immediately report service-truck maintenance or equipment issues to Management.
• Follow company accident and incident procedures when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Assist with additional duties as business needs require.
