Job summary

Transdev in Lancaster, California is hiring a Road Supervisor to ensure routes are completed safely and on schedule. This role requires guiding drivers, coordinating daily scheduling, and maintaining compliance with safety procedures.

Responsibilities include on-the-spot safety investigations, driver training, reporting, and liaison with customers. A high school diploma and transit supervisory experience are preferred, with DOT drug testing compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Supervisory experience with hourly employees; 2-3 years transit supervisory experience preferred.
• Computer literate - basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
• Assists Safety Manager with DOT/FTA compliance regarding drug testing and recordkeeping.
• Meets all driver qualifications at location.
• Assists in dispatching, driving, interviewing, and miscellaneous clerical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Communicate job requirements to drivers.
• Schedule daily routes, counsel drivers, submit evaluation reports.
• Investigate accidents on scene; assist with reports.
• Develop and deliver driver safety training.
• Monitor driver safety on road; document violations.
• Act as liaison between drivers, customers and the company.
• Evaluate driver safety and performance per policy.
• Assist with DOT/FTA compliance and recordkeeping.
• Occasionally drive routes.
• Other duties as required.
