Job summary

C.W. Roberts Contracting, Inc. (CWR) is seeking a Roller Operator for our Florida-based road construction crews. You will operate the heavy rolling machine to compact subgrades and asphalt and support surrounding crew with site preparation tasks.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in paving, a valid Florida driver's license, and the ability to work days, nights, or weekends. You will complete required paperwork and comply with safety and DOT requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in the paving industry.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to meet company MVR requirements and have a valid Florida driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Operate the heavy rolling machine to compact subgrades and asphalt.
• Assist crew with fill, stone placement, asphalt laying, and site prep.
• Determine speed and direction of the machine and perform basic adjustments.
• Check fluids at startup and monitor gauges and fluid levels daily.
• Complete required paperwork and comply with safety procedures.
