Job summary

C.W. Roberts Contracting, Inc. (CWR) is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for its local Florida operations.

You will operate motor graders, bulldozers, backhoes, loaders, rollers, and excavators, load and move materials, and help prepare road beds. Requirements include a minimum of 2 years’ experience, a high school diploma or equivalent preferred, and the ability to work days, nights, or weekends. You must meet MVR and have a valid Florida driver's license; drug screening and background checks

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of heavy equipment operating experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid Florida driver’s license and ability to pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Operate several types of power construction equipment including motor-graders, milling machines, bulldozers, backhoes or track hoes, rollers, articulated dump trucks, front-end loaders, or hydraulic excavators.
• Load and move dirt, rocks, equipment, or other materials using trucks, power cranes, shovels, or other related equipment.
• Operate machines to spread, smooth, level, mill, or steel-reinforce stone, concrete, or asphalt on road beds or other job sites.
• Inspect, clean, maintain, and repair equipment and conduct pre-shift inspections.
• Take actions to avoid potential hazards or obstructions such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, or falling objects.
• Follow safe practices and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned
