Job summary

GFL Industries in Gainesville, FL is seeking an experienced Diesel/CNG mechanic to repair and maintain our fleet under the guidance of shop leadership. You will diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on diesel and CNG vehicles to keep them road ready.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of diesel/CNG maintenance, knowledge of DOT/OSHA regulations, and the ability to read safety manuals. CDL preferred; ASE certifications are a plus; diagnostic software experience is welcomed.

Qualifications

3+ years of diesel/CNG maintenance experience.
Experience using diagnostic software preferred.
Class A or B CDL preferred or willing to obtain within six months.
ASE certifications preferred.
Knowledge of DOT/OSHA and related regulations.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret safety and maintenance manuals.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair and maintain Diesel and CNG fleet under supervision.
Complete inspection of brakes, engines, emissions, steering, bearings and other parts.
Test drive trucks to diagnose malfunctions.
Perform electronic diagnostics and repair electrical/hydraulic systems.
Perform DOT and brake inspections on all vehicles.
Prepare reports and work orders; order parts as needed.
