Job summary

GFL Environmental, Inc. is seeking an experienced fleet technician to perform diesel and CNG maintenance, diagnostics and repairs for our road-ready fleet. This role requires hands-on work, adherence to safety rules and accurate documentation of work performed.

Qualified candidates will have 3+ years of diesel/CNG maintenance experience, knowledge of DOT/OSHA regs, and a willingness to obtain a CDL if not already held. OT is available after 40 hours.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of diesel/CNG maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of DOT, OSHA and related regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret safety and operating manuals.
• Class A or B CDL preferred or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
• ASE certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and maintain Diesel and CNG fleet under supervision.
• Inspect brake systems, engine components, emissions, steering, wheel bearings.
• Test drive trucks to diagnose malfunctions and verify repairs.
• Perform electronic diagnostics and repair electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Complete DOT and brake inspections on all vehicles.
• Prepare reports, work orders and order parts as required.
• Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with safety regulations.
