Job summary

MV Transportation is seeking a Road Supervisor to monitor street operations in California in accordance with client, operations and safety requirements. The Road Supervisor will oversee site checks, road observations and ensure on-time performance while coordinating with dispatch and field staff.

Responsibilities include ensuring operators are fit for duty and licensed, handling accidents, and maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certifications according to local contract requirements.
• Previous passenger transportation experience in current project or similar environment.
• Previous training and/or field supervision experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent safety and service record.
• Knowledge of local training program and local operations.
• Familiarization with service area.
• Knowledge of client and service performance requirements.
• Ability to manage emergency situations.
• Knowledge of project specific vehicles, components and data/communications systems.
• Knowledge of State and Federal regulations and corporate safety programs and policies.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work with all departments.
• Ability to work independently and objectively.

Responsibilities

• Monitor street operations according to client, operations, and safety requirements.
• Conduct site checks and road observations and report findings.
• Perform wheelchair securement and vehicle cleanliness checks on in service vehicles.
• Ensure on-time performance and route adherence.
• Provide information to site personnel at key locations.
• Respond to accidents and incidents and assist to resume service with required data.
• Accompany operators to medical facilities when needed.
• Fill vacant shifts to ensure full service delivery.
• Complete gate checks and paperwork including manifests and inspections.
• Identify rerouting needs due to traffic or construction.
• Ensure operators are fit for duty and properly licensed.
• Assist operators with service or passenger problems.
• Assist dispatch and maintenance staff with vehicle changes.
• Provide safety feedback to improve procedures.
• Assess preventability of incidents and suggest training.
