Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Road Mechanic to support our growing service organization with preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on a diverse fleet. You’ll work at various locations, ensuring equipment reliability and minimizing downtime.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of diesel/heavy equipment experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver's license; a CDL may be required in some locations. We offer solid benefits and on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 3–5 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment or heavy construction equipment preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; CDL may be required in some locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on equipment.
• Work on a variety of makes, models and equipment in challenging remote locations.
• Ensure safety and reliability of fleet to minimize downtime.
