Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Road Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of equipment, including aerial work platforms and large-scale generators. The role involves working in challenging remote locations and developing a career track in service or operations management.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, 3-5 years of mechanic experience with diesel or heavy equipment, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 3-5 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment or specialty lines equipment strongly preferred.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record (CDL may be required in some locations).
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals; knowledge of electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on equipment in a safe, efficient manner.
• Work on a variety of makes, models and equipment in challenging remote locations.
• Ensure work aligns with safety-focused environment and minimizes downtime.

Skills

Mechanic experience 3-5 years
