Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, and make entries on reports and records.

Responsibilities

• Operate single-axle or multi-axle trucks hauling highway construction or maintenance materials.
• Use power equipment and small hand tools to perform highway repairs.
• Load, unload, and stack signs, beads, sand, cement, chemicals, etc.
• Assist in loading and unloading pavement marking paint and glass beads.
• Flag traffic and drive escort/shadow vehicles.
• Assist crew in setting up, moving and taking down signs and cones for work zones.
