Responsibilities

  • Mow grass and weeds using large tractors and gang mowers.
  • Perform landscape maintenance and tree cutting along highway rights‑of‑way with power tools.
  • Operate single-axle dump trucks hauling materials for construction and maintenance.
  • Use power and hand tools to repair highways.
  • Load, unload and stack bags of salt, sand, cement and chemicals.
  • Pick up litter and assist crewmembers in setting up signs and cones for work zones.
  • Respond to emergencies 24/7 and work in various weather conditions.
