Job summary

Saline County in Benton, AR seeks a Road Equipment Operator to support road construction, improvements and maintenance. You will operate dump trucks and dozers, perform preventive maintenance, and assist with signs, parts inventory, and radio communications, reporting to the Road Foreman and Superintendent.

Position requires a high school diploma or GED and a CDL (Class A or B) with on-the-job training or related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; CDL training or certification preferred.
• Experience operating county road equipment and basic maintenance.
• Ability to plan and manage simultaneous tasks within deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Operate dump trucks and other road department equipment daily.
• Perform routine on-site maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
• Assist in maintaining signs, inventory, and shop/tools.
• Record keeping for parts and equipment; attend meetings and training as required.
• Follow safety protocols and work outdoors in varying conditions.
