Job summary

Saline County Kansas is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator I to perform snow removal and road maintenance with a Class A CDL. The role involves operating a range of equipment, including snowplows, loaders, tractors, and dump trucks, to maintain drainage systems and roadways.

Typical hours are 8am-4:30pm or 7am-3:30pm with seasonal shifts; overtime for snow removal and emergencies may apply. Applicants should have high school diploma and relevant CDL endorsements, with prior heavy equipment

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Class A CDL with air brake, combination vehicle and tanker endorsements.
• Six months verifiable experience operating heavy equipment.
• Must be able to operate all move trucks and trailers proficiently.

Responsibilities

• Operate snowplow, rollers, loaders and other heavy equipment for drainage, roadways and bridges.
• Perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Keep records of service requests and related records.
