Job summary

Coastal Elite Pro in the United States seeks a CDL driver to handle pick-up and delivery of trailers between service centers and turn-points using tractor-trailer combinations. This role requires safe driving, inspections, and adherence to DOT rules.

You will hook/unhook trailers, log trips, dispatch communications, and may perform duties of city drivers or dock staff as needed. Overnight stays and variable hours are possible.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL with double/triple endorsements, hazmat and tank endorsements (automatic transmission restriction allowed).
• Minimum 1 year recent Class A driving experience or completion of a driver development course.
• Valid DOT-compliant MVR.
• Ability to hook/unhook trailers, lift up to 100 pounds, and sit for extended periods.
• Strong communication, initiative and motivation.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer units, including doubles and triples where applicable.
• Conduct daily pre-trip and safety inspections of equipment.
• Hook and unhook trailers and converter dollies, verify documentation, and maintain logs.
• Follow hazardous material regulations, dispatch instructions, and communicate with dispatch.
• Load/unload freight, perform chaining if required, possibly perform duties of city drivers or dock employees.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.

Working Conditions
