Job summary

Coastal Elite Pro is seeking a dedicated CDL A driver to operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles/triples where applicable, delivering between service centers and turn-point locations.

You will perform daily pre-trip inspections, maintain accurate logs, and comply with DOT regulations while handling freight securely. Overnight trips and variable hours are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A CDL with endorsements for double/triple, hazmat, and tank vehicles (auto transmission allowed).
• Minimum one year of recent driving experience or completion of a driver development course.
• MVR must meet company and DOT compliance.
• Ability to hook trailers and lift about 100 lbs, good communication.
• Independent worker, ability to follow instructions and take initiative.

Role Overview: This position involves operating tractor-trailer combinations to pick up and deliver trailers between Service Centers and turn-point locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer units, including doubles and triples where applicable.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies, verify required documentation, and maintain accurate logs.
• Follow hazardous material regulations and dispatch instructions, communicate effectively, and perform necessary tasks such as chaining tires or loading/unloading freight.
• Comply with all laws, regulations, and company policies, performing additional duties as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

• Possess a valid Class A CDL with endorsements for double/triple, hazardous materials, and tank vehicles (automatic transmission allowed).
• Minimum one year of recent driving experience or completion of a driver development course.
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and compliance with DOT regulations.
• Ability to handle physical tasks such as hooking trailers and lifting approximately 100 pounds, along with good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and demonstrate initiative.

Working Conditions

Drive long distances in various weather conditions, with exposure to noise, vibration, dust, diesel fumes, and DOT-shipped hazardous materials. Overnight stays may be required, and hours can vary based on operational needs.
