Job summary

Coastal Elite Pro in Anaconda, MT is seeking professional truck drivers with a Class A CDL to perform pick-up and delivery of trailers between service centers and turn-point locations using tractor-trailers.

The role requires pre-trip inspections, safe handling of trailers, logging, DOT compliance, and the ability to work independently or with a team. Overnight stays and long-distance routes may be involved.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailers (including doubles/triples where applicable) and hook/unhook trailers.

• Adhere to all laws, regulations, and company policies; follow dispatch instructions.
• May assist with loading/unloading freight and chaining tires if needed.

Position Overview: This role involves pick-up and delivery of trailers between Service Centers and turn-point locations using tractor-trailer combinations.

Essential Functions

• Operate tractor-trailers, including doubles and triples where applicable.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections on equipment.
• Hook and unhook trailers and converter dollies.
• Complete required documentation and maintain accurate logs.
• Comply with hazardous material regulations and follow dispatch instructions.
• May perform chaining of tires and assist with loading/unloading freight.
• Adhere to all laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

• Class A CDL with double/triple, hazardous materials, and tank endorsements; automatic transmission restriction allowed.
• At least 1 year of recent driving experience or successful completion of a driver development course.
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and compliance with DOT regulations.
• Ability to operate long combination vehicles and meet qualification standards in certain states.
• Strong communication skills, physical ability to hook trailers, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Demonstrates initiative and motivation.

Working Conditions:

Long-distance driving in various weather conditions, exposure to noise, dust, diesel fumes, and hazardous materials. Overnight stays may be required, with hours varying based on operational needs.
