Horry County, SC is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator II to support maintenance and development of roads and drainage systems. The role involves grading, patching asphalt, ditching, and transporting materials under supervision, while ensuring safety regulations are followed and weather conditions are managed.

Candidates should have 1–3 years of heavy equipment experience or equivalent education. Reports to Road Maintenance Supervisor III and will work with the crew on various road projects.

Formación

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• One to three years of experience in heavy equipment operation or related field; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsabilidades

• Operates heavy machinery to perform road construction and maintenance tasks, including material transport and drainage work.
• Performs routine maintenance inspections on equipment and vehicles.
• Transports equipment to job sites and collaborates with the supervisor to assign tasks.
• Assists with miscellaneous duties such as blocking, patching, and clearing vegetation near roadways.
