Qualifications

• Reads and writes effectively; understands plans/drawings.
• Communicates clearly with crew and supervisors.
• Able to read profiles from construction drawings.
• Follows instructions and works independently or in a team.
• Basic knowledge of workplace safety standards and equipment maintenance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of road maintenance equipment including pickups, dump trucks, snowplow, loaders, graders, backhoes, rollers.
• Perform road maintenance and construction tasks on John Day / Long Creek routes.
• Read and follow approved construction drawings and profiles.
• Engage in safe work practices and proper radio communications.
