Job summary

The Coos County Road Department is seeking a Maintenance Worker IV who will operate a variety of road maintenance equipment across county projects. The role requires physical labor and the ability to handle multiple machines such as trucks, rollers, and sign/spray units.

The position follows a 4x10 schedule, Monday through Thursday, with travel throughout the county and an office base in Coquille, Oregon. Candidates should have at least one year in road construction, a CDL Class A, and a clean

• At least one year of road construction experience.
• CDL Class A.
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
• At least one year of experience in road construction, maintenance, and repair, including experience operating road construction equipment.
• Requires basic knowledge of road maintenance methods, techniques and procedures.
• Passing a background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate road maintenance equipment such as 5-yard and 10-yard trucks, end dump, boom truck, and other listed machinery.
• Perform heavy manual labor as part of daily duties.
• Travel throughout Coos County with some on-site office work in Coquille, Oregon.

The Coos County Road Department has an opening for Maintenance Worker IV. This busy position operates equipment in the maintenance and construction of County roads.Operates road maintenance equipment; 5-yard truck, 10-yard truck & trailer, end dump, boom truck, screed, driller, mower, water truck, roller, sander, loader, jackhammer, tack truck, broom, sign/spray truck and tire truck. Performs tasks which require heavy manual labor. 4 x 10 schedule Monday through Thursday.

List required special skills, licenses, certificates, etc:

• At least one year of road construction experience.
• CDL Class A
• Valid Driver's license with satisfactory driving record.
• At least one year of experience in road construction, maintenance, and repair, including experience operating road construction equipment.
• Requires basic knowledge of road maintenance methods, techniques and procedures.
