Qualifications

• One year of verifiable work experience in Heavy Highway Construction.
• Must be able to repetitively lift up to 30 pounds and pass required physical examination.
• Knowledge of basic tools and their uses, basic mathematical skills (adding, subtracting, division, multiplication).
• Experience with asphalt or related equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general laboring duties on a road construction project on a heavy highway crew or production crew.
• Shovel, rake, perform traffic control, move materials, set forms and strips, and assist with pours and finishing concrete forms.
• Maintain good housekeeping and adhere to safety regulations on site.
• Assist with equipment operation as needed and ensure attendance and reliability.
