C.W. Roberts Contracting, Inc. (CWR) is hiring a Laborer for our local road construction operations. The role supports various trades and assists with site prep, materials, and traffic control under supervision.

Candidates must be able to work outdoors in all weather, lift equipment, and stand for long periods. Drug testing and background checks are part of the hiring process; high school diploma or equivalent preferred. EOE/AA. We offer competitive salaries and fringe benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to work days, nights, or weekends as needed.
• Able to complete all required paperwork efficiently.
• Employer conducts drug testing and background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and labor for various trades (asphalt, pipe, grading, curb and gutter, structures, traffic control).
• Place asphalt using hand or power tools (shovel, rake, pick hammer, tamp, saw).
• Shovel or rake gravel, dirt, or other material.
• Lift, carry, and transfer materials and tools.
• Assist in moving and placing traffic control devices.
• Follow safety practices and procedures; work outside in varying weather; stand/walk for long periods.
