Job summary

C.W. Roberts Contracting, Inc. is seeking a Laborer for our local road construction operations. The role involves assisting with asphalt, pipe, grading, curb and gutter, structures, and traffic control activities.

Candidates should be able to stand/walk for long periods, work outside in all weather, and pass required drug testing and background checks. A high school diploma is preferred, and flexibility to work days, nights, or weekends is needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Willing to work days, nights, or weekends as needed.
• Able to complete all required paperwork efficiently.
• Employer conducts drug testing and background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and labor for trades including asphalt, pipe, grading, curb and gutter, structures, and traffic control.
• Position asphalt using hand or power tools including shovel, rake, pick hammer, tamp, saw, etc.
• Shovel or rake gravel, dirt, or other material.
• Lift, carry, and transfer materials and tools.
• Assist in moving and placing traffic control devices.
• Follow safe practices and procedures.
