Job summary

American Structurepoint’s Road Group is seeking candidates for our Co-op program in Cincinnati, OH. As a Road Co-op, you’ll work with a close-knit team on roadway projects for ODOT, cities, towns, and counties throughout Ohio.

You’ll assist with quantity takeoffs, create construction plan sets using MicroStation OpenRoads Designer (ORD), prepare design documentation, and develop construction cost estimates.

Qualifications

• Current student majoring in Civil Engineering or related program.
• Reliable transportation to and from the office.
• Willingness to learn and collaborate on projects.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to roadway design by performing design calculations, roadway layouts, drainage analysis, plan production, and quantity/cost estimates.
• Gain hands-on experience with 3D modeling and ORD, using MicroStation/GEOPAK, Bluebeam, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Work on projects from roundabouts to interchanges, and assist with diverse roadway tasks.
• Other duties as assigned.

Most of your work will take placein the office, withoccasional site visits, as you assist with quantity takeoffs, create construction plan sets using MicroStation OpenRoads Designer (ORD), prepare design documentation, and develop construction cost estimates. From large interstate and interchange projects to urban reconstructions, rural maintenance, and roundabouts, you’ll gainhands-on experience across a wide variety of impactful transportation projects.
