You will assist with roadway projects for ODOT, cities, and counties, focusing on quantity takeoffs, plan sets using MicroStation ORD, design documentation, and cost estimation. You'll gain hands-on experience across interstate, urban, rural, and roundabout projects while working primarily in-office with occasional site visits, under mentorship and with opportunities to return for other Co-ops

Qualifications

• Student majoring in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Transportation, Hydraulics, or a related program with a focus on Civil Engineering
• Reliable transportation to and from the office
• Strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, willingness to take on new challenges, and a collaborative mindset

Responsibilities

• Contribute to roadway design by working on design calculations, roadway layouts, drainage analysis, plan production, and quantity and cost estimates
• Gain hands‑on experience with 3D modeling and work with tools like MicroStation/GEOPAK, Bluebeam, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Get involved in a wide variety of projects—everything from roundabouts and urban streets to rural roads, drainage improvements, and large interstate projects
• Other duties as assigned
