Primoris Heavy Civil is seeking skilled Road Carpenters in Abilene, TX to build and install wood form structures and metal forms for concrete highways, bridges, and municipal projects. The role is hands-on and field-based, focusing on forming and framing concrete structures in outdoor construction sites.

Ideal candidates can read blueprints, select materials, prepare layouts, and fabricate/install forms per drawings, with attention to safety and craftsmanship.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints and schematics to determine work procedures.
• Study plans for material requirements and dimensions.
• Prepare layouts and mark cutting lines on materials.
• Construct forms and chutes for pouring concrete as per drawings.
• Fabricate and assemble formwork and fixtures for highways, bridges, and municipal work.
• Load, haul and install materials on site per plans and specs.

Responsibilities

• Constructs, erects, installs, fabricates, dismantles, and repairs wood and metal formwork and fixtures.
• Shapes materials to prescribed measurements and assemblies per drawings.
• Sets grout forms for epoxy and cement grout.
• Forms and frames concrete structures used in highways and municipal infrastructure.
