Primoris Heavy Civil is seeking skilled Carpenters for live road, bridge, and highway infrastructure projects in Laredo, TX. The role involves building forms and structures for concrete, reading blueprints, and following safety protocols on industrial sites.

The position is field-based, requiring physical fitness and the ability to work extended hours outdoors, with a focus on formwork, framing, and metal/wood components.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years of experience in the specified skill, depending on mechanic level.
• Written pre-employment qualification test.
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.
• New Hire Orientation Quiz.
• Appointee must not pose a direct health or safety threat to themselves or others.
• Site safety requirements per client (long sleeves, steel toe boots).
• Safety equipment as required (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, harness).

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and schematics to determine work procedures.
• Select materials by job specs and size.
• Study plans for material type and dimensions.
• Prepare layouts and lines on materials.
• Mark cutting and assembly lines.
• Shape materials to prescribed measurements.
• Construct forms and chutes for concrete pouring.
• Assemble materials and transport to the job site.
• Place and finish concrete in formwork and align panels.
