Job summary

ALAMOSA COUNTY, Road & Bridge Department, Maintenance Tech I is seeking a candidate with a CDL (Class A preferred) to operate and maintain trucks and related equipment for county roads. Responsibilities include operating snow plows, performing minor repairs, inspecting equipment, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Must have CDL Class A with no Air Brake Restriction "E" or "L".
• Ability to perform manual labor and operate trucks and equipment.
• Ability to read and follow instructions and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate tandem-axle trucks with snow plow and sander and other heavy equipment.
• Perform routine service and minor repairs on assigned equipment.
• Inspect truck equipment, tires, lights, brakes, oil, and water.
• Conduct manual road work such as gravel spreading and pothole patching.
• Direct traffic at job sites when necessary.
• Maintain truck logs in accordance with regulations.
