Job summary

Alamosa County is hiring a Maintenance Tech I to operate and maintain trucks used in county road maintenance. The role includes significant manual labor, driving duties, and general equipment upkeep. Qualifications

• CDL Class A required with no air brake restriction.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Experience with heavy equipment is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate tandem-axle trucks with snow plow and sander.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
• Inspect tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water.
• Perform emergency roadside repairs and secure cargo.
• Direct traffic at job sites.
• Maintain truck logs per regulations.
• Assist with sign shop duties as assigned.
