Job summary

Arapahoe County Government's Road and Bridge division seeks an entry-level Highway Maintenance Technician II to perform manual road maintenance, flagging in construction zones, and winter snow duties. You will work in a team, using hand tools and light equipment, under CDL training after hire, with on-call winter shifts.

Responsibilities include operating equipment after training, maintaining sites, and supporting de-icing operations while ensuring safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• No prior work experience required for this entry-level position.
• Pre-employment screening includes MV check, background check, physical, drug screen.
• Colorado CDL-B license within 6 months is preferred; CDL training provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual labor using hand tools and equipment.
• Serve as flagger in construction zones and assist with traffic control.
• Plow snow, spread de-icing materials, and respond to winter storms.
• Operate equipment after training and maintain safety and cleanliness of gear.
• Inspect and maintain assigned equipment daily.
