Job summary

Harris County Precinct 4 is looking for a motivated Operator to join the Road & Bridge team in Hockley, Texas. You will maintain roadways and bridges, perform drainage maintenance, and operate a range of heavy equipment while ensuring safety on active construction sites.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least six months of related experience, and a CDL within three months of starting. Expect full-time hours (40 per week) with possible weekend work and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of six months of related experience or training as an operator or related role.
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required within 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain roadways and drainage within Precinct 4.
• Operate light and heavy construction equipment as needed.
• Perform pre/post trip inspections and report repairs.
• Set up road signs, barricades, flag traffic, and assist with traffic control.
• Work in outdoor, active construction sites with safety as a priority.
