Job summary

WSP is seeking a Construction Inspector Trainee for our Asheville, NC office. You’ll support the Construction Management team by interpreting plans, assisting with inspections, and performing field data tests.

This is a full-time role that emphasizes safety, accuracy, and growth through on-the-job training. You’ll work with senior inspectors, develop certifications within 90 days, and contribute to delivering projects that meet client objectives and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specs.
• Experience or potential in road/bridge inspection and testing.
• Ability to maintain accurate field records and data.
• Willingness to learn required certifications within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Examine and interpret construction plans, schedules and quantities.
• Assist senior inspectors in inspection, surveying and testing tasks.
• Verify safety and compliance with plans and specifications.
• Perform field data collection, testing and data analysis.
• Maintain ethical conduct and adhere to company policies.
