Job summary

Egis is seeking a Florida Construction Engineering & Inspection (CEI) team member to support transportation infrastructure projects for FDOT and regional clients. You will perform inspections, ensure contract compliance, and help maintain quality and safety on roadway and bridge construction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of construction inspection experience in roadway/bridge projects preferred.
• EI certification with a bachelor's in civil engineering acceptable.
• Knowledge of FDOT standards and construction administration procedures.
• Proficient with computer applications and construction management software.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; able to work independently in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document construction inspections on roadway and bridge projects per plans and specs.
• Conduct and oversee field testing with accurate reporting of results.
• Support project administration: maintain records and prepare inspection reports.
• Monitor contractor operations and identify issues affecting quality, schedule, or compliance.
• Collaborate with project teams, contractors, clients, and agency representatives.
• Adhere to FDOT procedures and quality requirements.
• Utilize construction management software to document activities and track progress.
• Support CEI operations on FDOT and municipal transportation projects in North Florida.
