Job summary

CyberCoders is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support heavy civil road and bridge projects in Houston. You will work with the Project Manager and field teams to coordinate schedules, manage subcontractors and suppliers, monitor budget, and ensure safety and quality on site.

Your role involves planning, tracking progress, and maintaining documentation for successful project delivery, with travel to sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in heavy civil construction or infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, or utilities) is preferred.
• Experience in project management or engineering support roles is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience coordinating with owners, engineers, contractors, and regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in planning, executing, and closing heavy civil projects (roads, bridges, drainage, and related infrastructure).
• Coordinate day-to-day site activities between superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, and design/engineering teams to maintain schedule and resolve issues.
• Monitor project schedule and cost performance; prepare progress reports, change orders, and forecast updates for management review.
• Support contract administration tasks including subcontractor agreements, purchase orders, RFIs, submittals, and pay applications.
• Conduct regular site visits to verify work quality and safety/regulatory compliance.
• Participate in project meetings, prepare minutes, and follow up on actions for timely resolution.
• Assist with risk registers, mitigation plans, and quality control processes.
• Coordinate permitting, inspections, and utility/agency interfaces as required.
• Support project closeout activities including punch lists and final invoicing.
