Job summary

FullShift Staffing, LLC seeks a Nursing Manager (LVN) to oversee patient care in line with facility policies and physician orders. The role requires timely medication administration and coordination of treatments, with strong infection control and quality improvement involvement.

The candidate should be licensed as an LVN in California and have prior nursing management and long-term care experience. Knowledge of Point Click Care is a plus, with rounds alongside physicians as needed.

Qualifications

• Currently LVN licensed (CA).
• 1+ year nursing management experience preferred.
• SNF/LTC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Infection Control Manual.
• Participates in the Quality Improvement Program.
• Utilizes the Quality Life Manual for patient identification, placement, and monitoring.
• Notifies other departments of patient changes (room changes, LOA, admits, discharge).
• Conducts family and patient education.
• Administers medications timely and according to facility policy.
• Administers treatments timely and according to facility policy.
• Receives/transcribes/executes physician orders as allowed by Nurse Practice Act.
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.

• Objective

Provides nursing care within scope of practice to ensure patient’s needs are met in accordance with standards of practice, physician orders, center policies and procedures, and state, federal and local guidelines.

Principal Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Company Infection Control Manual.
• Understands, participates and assists in implementing the Quality Improvement Program.
• Utilizes the Quality Life Manual for identification, placement, and monitoring of patients in the appropriate programs.
• Notifies other Departments of patient changes, i.e., room changes, LOA, new admits, discharge, etc.
• Conducts family and patient education.

• Demonstrates the ability to administer treatments timely and according to facility policy.
• Demonstrates ability to receive, transcribe, and carry out physician orders, if allowed by Nurse Practice Act
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.

Qualifications

• One-year prior nursing management experience preferred.
• Experience in SNF/LTC settings preferred.
