Job summary

FullShift Staffing, LLC seeks an LVN in California to provide nursing care within scope of practice, following physician orders and center policies. You will monitor patient needs, administer medications, and participate in quality improvement activities.

Requires CA LVN licensure (compact license preferred) and emphasizes long-term care experience and PointClickCare charting knowledge. This is an on-site position in a healthcare facility.

Qualifications

• Must have CA LVN licensure or compact licensure where applicable.
• Experience in long-term care settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of infection control and quality improvement processes.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of infection control procedures.
• Participates in Quality Improvement Program implementation.
• Uses Life Manual concepts for patient placement and monitoring.
• Notifies departments of patient changes and admissions/discharges.
• Provides family and patient education.
• Administers medications and treatments per policy.
• Receives and transcribes physician orders as permitted.
• Makes rounds with physicians when needed.

Job description

Objective

Provides nursing care within scope of practice to ensure patient’s needs are met in accordance with standards of practice, physician orders, center policies and procedures, and state, federal and local guidelines.

Principal Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Company Infection Control Manual.
• Understands, participates and assists in implementing the Quality Improvement Program.
• Utilizes the Quality Life Manual for identification, placement, and monitoring of patients in the appropriate programs.
• Notifies other Departments of patient changes, i.e., room changes, LOA, new admits, discharge, etc.
• Conducts family and patient education.
• Demonstrates the ability to administer medications timely and according to facility policy.
• Demonstrates the ability to administer treatments timely and according to facility policy.
• Demonstrates ability to receive, transcribe, and carry out physician orders, if allowed by Nurse Practice Act
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as LVN in state California, if contract is in the state of Califonia. Have a compact license if working in a Compact state.
• One-year prior nursing management experience preferred
• LONG TERM CARE EXPERIENCE
• POINT CLICK CARE CHARTING EXPERIENCE
