Job summary

FullShift Staffing, LLC in California is seeking an experienced LPN to lead clinical operations as a nursing manager in a long-term care setting. You will supervise care delivery, ensure compliance with standards, and collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to meet patient needs.

The ideal candidate has a valid LPN license, LTC experience, and prior management exposure. Proficiency with PointClickCare is required, and you will help drive quality improvement and policy adherence

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as LPN in state.
• One-year prior nursing management experience preferred.
• Must have long term care experience.
• Must have electronic charting system experience with POINT CLICK CARE.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Infection Control Manual.
• Participates in the Quality Improvement Program.
• Utilizes the Quality Life Manual for patient placement and monitoring.
• Notifies departments of patient changes (room changes, LOA, admissions, discharges).
• Conducts family and patient education.
• Administers medications timely and per facility policy.
• Administers treatments timely and per facility policy.
• Receives, transcribes, and carries out physician orders when allowed.
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.

Objective

Provides nursing care within scope of practice to ensure patient’s needs are met in accordance with standards of practice, physician orders, center policies and procedures, and state, federal and local guidelines.

Principal Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Company Infection Control Manual.
• Understands, participates and assists in implementing the Quality Improvement Program.
• Utilizes the Quality Life Manual for identification, placement, and monitoring of patients in the appropriate programs.
• Notifies other Departments of patient changes, i.e., room changes, LOA, new admits, discharge, etc.
• Conducts family and patient education.
• Demonstrates the ability to administer medications timely and according to facility policy.
• Demonstrates the ability to administer treatments timely and according to facility policy.
• Demonstrates ability to receive, transcribe, and carry out physician orders, if allowed by Nurse Practice Act
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.
