Job summary

FullShift Staffing, LLC is seeking an LVN to provide nursing care in a California facility. The role requires current California LVN licensure, possible compact-state eligibility, and preferred nursing management and long-term care experience.

The ideal candidate will be proficient with PointClickCare and participate in quality improvement initiatives while following center policies and patient care standards.

Qualifications

• Licensed LVN in California is required; compact license if working in a compact state.
• One year of nursing management experience is preferred.
• Experience in long-term care settings is required.

• Participates in Quality Improvement program implementation.

Job description

Objective

Provides nursing care within scope of practice to ensure patient’s needs are met in accordance with standards of practice, physician orders, center policies and procedures, and state, federal and local guidelines.

Principal Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Company Infection Control Manual.
• Understands, participates and assists in implementing the Quality Improvement Program.
• Utilizes the Quality Life Manual for identification, placement, and monitoring of patients in the appropriate programs.
• Notifies other Departments of patient changes, i.e., room changes, LOA, new admits, discharge, etc.
• Conducts family and patient education.
• Demonstrates the ability to administer medications timely and according to facility policy.
• Demonstrates the ability to administer treatments timely and according to facility policy.
• Demonstrates ability to receive, transcribe, and carry out physician orders, if allowed by Nurse Practice Act
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as LVN in state California, if contract is in the state of Califonia. Have a compact license if working in a Compact state.
• One-year prior nursing management experience preferred
• LONG TERM CARE EXPERIENCE
• POINT CLICK CARE CHARTING EXPERIENCE
