Job summary

FullShift Staffing, LLC invites an experienced LVN Nurse Manager to lead nursing care in a California long-term care facility. You will ensure patient needs are met within standards of practice, physician orders, and state regulations while supervising clinical staff.

The ideal candidate holds a California LVN license, has at least one year of nursing management experience and familiarity with PointClickCare, ensuring quality improvement and compliant charting.

Qualifications

• California LVN license required; compact license acceptable for working in a compact state.
• One year of nursing management experience preferred.
• Long-term care experience required; PointClickCare charting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and use of Infection Control Manual.
• Participates in Quality Improvement Program.
• Identifies, places, and monitors patients in appropriate programs.
• Notifies departments of patient changes (room changes, LOA, admissions, discharge).
• Conducts family and patient education.
• Administers medications and treatments timely according to policy.
• Receives, transcribes, and carries out physician orders as allowed.
• Makes rounds with physicians as needed.

Objective

Provides nursing care within scope of practice to ensure patient’s needs are met in accordance with standards of practice, physician orders, center policies and procedures, and state, federal and local guidelines.

Principal Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the Company Infection Control Manual.
• Understands, participates and assists in implementing the Quality Improvement Program.
• Utilizes the Quality Life Manual for identification, placement, and monitoring of patients in the appropriate programs.
• Notifies other Departments of patient changes, i.e., room changes, LOA, new admits, discharge, etc.
• Conducts family and patient education.
• Demonstrates the ability to administer medications timely and according to facility policy.
• Demonstrates the ability to administer treatments timely and according to facility policy.
• Demonstrates ability to receive, transcribe, and carry out physician orders, if allowed by Nurse Practice Act
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as LVN in state California, if contract is in the state of Califonia. Have a compact license if working in a Compact state.
• One-year prior nursing management experience preferred
• LONG TERM CARE EXPERIENCE
• POINT CLICK CARE CHARTING EXPERIENCE
