OPAL Fuels in Inver Grove Heights, MN is seeking a Plant Operator to safely run our Renewable Natural Gas facility. You will monitor plant systems, perform routine maintenance, and work with engineers and vendors to maximize production while protecting the environment.

The role requires flexibility for varied schedules (including nights and weekends), a valid driver's license, and hands-on experience with gas treatment, pumps, blowers, and SCADA-driven operations.

Qualifications

• Experience with landfill gas or gas compression and treatment.
• Ability to troubleshoot via SCADA and manuals.
• Basic electrical knowledge.
• Strong mechanical skills and self-motivation.
• Valid driver's license.
• Able to work varied shifts including nights and weekends.

Responsabilités

• Operate and monitor RNG plant safely and efficiently.
• Monitor plant systems and perform routine maintenance.
• Coordinate maintenance tasks with management and vendors.
• Maintain production data, equipment hours, and service schedules.
• Respond to callouts and outages; support 24/7 availability.
• Ensure safety, environmental compliance, and quality standards.
• Keep plant clean and inventory organized.
• Record and review instrumentation readings (flow meters, chromatographs).
