OPAL Fuels is seeking a Plant Operator to join the Operations team in Illinois. The role involves safely operating a Renewable Natural Gas facility, sharing accountability with the Lead Operator, and assisting during startup and commissioning phases.

Responsibilities include monitoring plant systems, performing maintenance, ensuring product quality, and maintaining detailed production records while prioritizing safety and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience with landfill gas systems and gas compression & treatment.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities with mechanical and electrical understanding.
• Proficiency with SCADA, data tracking, and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the RNG plant safely and efficiently; ensure product quality for pipeline injection.
• Lead safety practices, review LO TOs and JHAs, raise safety concerns with management.
• Coordinate maintenance tasks with management and contractors; work with third-party vendors.
