Job summary

BERQ US OPERATIONS LLC is seeking a Plant Operator in Isabella, Michigan to operate and maintain our Renewable Natural Gas facility. You will monitor and adjust equipment, ensure uptime, and maintain product quality to meet specifications, while complying with OSHA and local regulations.

You will work with the engineering team on process optimization, perform routine tests, and handle maintenance tasks to minimize downtime, while adhering to safety protocols and keeping accurate production

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or coursework preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and electrical experience.
• Proven experience operating and maintaining industrial equipment.
• Strong understanding of RNG production processes and equipment.
• Knowledge of safety regulations in an industrial setting.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues independently.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to be on call after-hours, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, operate, adjust and repair digester and RNG upgrading equipment to maximize gas production safely.
• Execute startup and shutdown procedures for RNG production systems with safety compliance.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to optimize production processes.
• Perform routine quality checks and tests on manure and product gas.
• Conduct regular maintenance and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime.
• Enforce safety protocols and promote a safety culture.
• Maintain accurate records of plant operations and maintenance.
• Respond to emergencies following established protocols.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
