Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital in Atlanta, GA seeks an experienced RN First Assistant to deliver safe, patient-family centered perioperative care across the OR and perioperative services. The RNFA assists in operative and invasive procedures and supports the perioperative continuum according to credentials and competencies.

Required are a nursing degree, completion of an AORN-RN First Assistant program, Georgia RN licensure, CNOR, CRNFA, BCLS, ACLS, and PALS.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nursing program (Required)
• Completion of an AORN-RN First Assistant program with didactic and clinical components (Required)

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective, and patient-family centered care in the OR and perioperative services across all patient populations.
• Act as RN first assistant during operative and other invasive procedures and throughout the perioperative continuum per scope of practice and competency.
• Occasionally perform as RN circulator delivering care outside the OR as needed.
