Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital in Georgia is seeking an experienced RN First Assistant to deliver safe, patient-family centered perioperative care. You will function as an RN first assistant during operative and invasive procedures and support perioperative staff throughout the continuum.

The role requires graduation from a nursing program, completion of an AORN-RN First Assistant program, and current Georgia RN licensure with CNOR and CRNFA certifications. A sign-on bonus is available.

Qualifications

• Graduate from nursing program.
• Completion of an AORN-RN First Assistant program with didactic and clinical components.
• 2 years perioperative RN or RNFA experience.
• 3 years minimum experience as RN or Surgical Tech in the CVOR, if working in the CVOR.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective perioperative patient care as RN first assistant.
• Assist in operative and invasive procedures and throughout the perioperative continuum.
• Occasionally act as RN circulator in the OR.
• Maintain credentials, privileges, and competency verification.
