Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital in Georgia is seeking a qualified RN First Assistant to join our perioperative services team. The role focuses on safe, patient-family centered care in the OR and across the perioperative continuum.

You will function as an RNFA during operative and invasive procedures and may serve as an RN circulator when needed, collaborating with surgeons, nurses and support staff. A sign-on bonus is available.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nursing program with active Georgia RN license.
• Completion of an AORN-RN First Assistant program (didactic and clinical).
• Minimum 2 years perioperative RN or RNFA experience.
• Minimum 3 years as RN or Surgical Tech in the CVOR if CVOR work.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the OR and perioperative areas.
• Serve as RN First Assistant during operative and invasive procedures and throughout the perioperative continuum.
• Occasionally perform the RN circulator role as needed.
