Job summary

Del-Air Heating & Air Con is seeking a capable HVAC Service Technician to perform repairs, installations and preventative maintenance in residential settings. You will start-up new equipment, braze and solder piping, install ducts, thermostats, and inspect units for proper operation across Volusia County area.

Required: 1 year HVAC field experience preferred, EPA Type II certification (Universal preferred), valid driver’s license, ability to work on-call, and background check/drug screen.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year HVAC field experience (preferred).
• Graduated from an accredited HVAC technical program (preferred).
• Obtain EPA Type II certification (Universal preferred).
• Valid driver’s license for at least 15 months; able to operate company vehicle.

Responsibilities

DEL-AIR is an industry leader servicing the Greater Central Florida region.

This position is for Volusia County area.

Primary Responsibilities: Performing RNC Service Tech on air conditioning units in residential homes for customers.

SpecificDuties & Tasks:

• Performs start-ups on new HVAC equipment.
• Braze and solder various metals to connect piping
• Install, modify, or repairs air ducts, indoor unit, drain pans, drain lines, and outdoor units
• Install and calibrate thermostats, humidistats, solenoids, and timers
• Inspect inoperative indoor or outdoor units to locate causes of trouble
• Disassemble indoor or outdoor units, and replace or repair defective parts
• Perform preventive maintenance on drain cleaning, coil sanitizing, and motor lubrication
• After repairs, completely evaluate the operations of the equipment using gauges, voltmeters, leak detectors, sling pycnometers, static, and velocity instruments

Qualifications:

• Have a minimum of 1 year of HVAC field experience, preferred
• Graduated from an accredited HVAC technical program, preferred
• Obtain at least an EPA, Type II certification, Universal preferred
• Have obtained a valid driver’s license for at least 15 months, and able to meet FCCI auto guidelines to operate a company-owned vehicle.
• Must be able to work on an on-call rotation, when assigned.
• Be experienced with low & high voltage wiring
• Eligible to legally work in the United States.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Successfully complete a background check and drug screen.
