Job summary

Mass General Brigham seeks a highly skilled scientist to advance its gene and cell therapy program within the GCTI. The role focuses on developing automated RNA–lipid nanoparticle production processes for continuous manufacturing, collaborating with engineers, and delivering robust drug product platforms.

The candidate will generate RNA-based products, define critical parameters, and document progress for program milestones, contributing to a leading-edge, multi-institution initiative.

Qualifications

• PhD with 3+ years in life sciences, process development, or biomanufacturing.
• Experience synthesizing and purifying RNA via in vitro transcription.
• Ability to identify problems and troubleshoot solutions.
• Familiarity with GMP or quality-by-design is preferred.
• Strong data analysis and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize RNA and LNP unit operations for continuous manufacturing.
• Collaborate with microfluidics, hardware, and software engineers.
• Produce circular RNA, mRNA, and RNA-LNP drug products using established methods.
• Define process parameters and perform DOE studies.
• Record data and maintain documentation and quality metrics.
• Support program milestones and liaise with partners.
