Qualifications

• Senior Scientist I: Bachelor’s Degree and typically 10 years of experience; Master’s Degree and typically 8 years; PhD with no experience.
• Senior Scientist II: Bachelor’s Degree and typically 12 years; Master’s Degree and typically 10 years; PhD with 4 years.
• Hands-on experience with mRNA production techniques (IVT and purification).
• Experience with analytical characterization of mRNA (electrophoresis, HPLC, RT-qPCR).
• Deep expertise in payload design, production methods, and functional testing.
• Proven ability to develop sustained gene expression in mammalian cells.
• Ability to work independently to design and execute experiments.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on production of high-quality mRNA, including IVT and purification workflows.
• Design and execute experiments to optimize payload expression in target cells.
• Drive payload innovation and identify cutting-edge approaches to improve performance.
• Collaborate with molecular biology, formulation, and analytical teams to meet timelines.
• Mentor a small team of 1–2 researchers and provide scientific guidance.
• Communicate findings through internal presentations, reports, and publications.
